20 Jun Tom’s Graduation @Zenerife
It has been half a year since I have written to you about my adventures. Last time I just returned from a trip in Central America. I wrote a blog about Cuba and our stay in a spiritual community and Costa Rica, Mexico & New York.
As we felt that we needed some more Zen we stayed for six full months in Tenerife, which felt really good. Winter time in Tenerife means that it is somewhat colder in the mornings and evenings, but that during the day I can still run around in my short pants and play at the beach. Swimming was quite a deception as I discovered that the ocean here is much colder than the sea in Mexico. Hence I am behaving like a true Canarian, for them swimming in ‘winter time’ is out of the question! Actually my dad & mum are becoming more Canarian as well as they are cheating with wetsuits when swimming…
We had quite a lot of people visiting us (nothing new in that actually). Although, as Zenerife is becoming more known and visible this also included four weeks of new faces as we hosted one training for a group of people starting their own business and three Zenerife Experiences. Really cool to have so many new & different faces around and meet so many other kids as well.
Next to that I am becoming more famous myself as well I was interviewed for “Ouders van Nu” and next to that I featured in a fotoshoot for them as well. Also NRC, a Dutch newspaper, wanted to know more about our story of living a more balanced life abroad. Next step in my quest for fame is to enroll in a modeling agency here in Tenerife. I think that, being a “Tinerfeño” with blond hair and blue eyes will increase my chances for a successful career 🙂
Last but not least, after a nice visit of six weeks in The Netherlands, I am about to graduate from my kindergarten! Hence the photo at the start of this blog. After the summer I will go to ‘pre-school’, which is from the age of 3 to 6. As I turn 3 in November I will already start at the beginning of the new school year in September.
